You notice me across the room. Big smile, piercing eyes, that laugh. The kind that makes you look over again just to see what was so funny.

Slim with soft curves and striking features thanks to my Jamaican and Asian heritage (thanks, Mom). There’s something about the look on my face that suggests I’m already thinking of something I probably shouldn’t say out loud.

Suddenly, looking was only the beginning.

According to my suitors, I’m “kind of a nerd.” I’ll take that as a compliment. I have a degree in psychology and, ironically or perhaps unironically a background in social work.

Over warmly lit dinners, far-too-brief lunches, or disappearing for a bubble bath and a few giggles, I’m rather fond of playful chemistry and seeing where an evening takes us.

You work hard. You have places to be. But when we’re together, you’re completely at ease.
