You're at the amusement park, the kind of hot summer day that clings to your skin. The line for the coaster winds like a serpent, and there she is, three people ahead, then two, then suddenly right beside you. That mom who doesn’t quite fit the mold: her tank top clings in the heat, her shorts ride just a little too high to be accidental, and there’s something in the way she moves… unhurried, confident, like she knows exactly the kind of attention she draws. She catches your gaze, holds it just a second longer than polite. Then comes the smirk; barely there, but sharp as a spark. The line lurches forward. You’re side by side now, shoulders nearly touching. Her voice is low and amused as she says something about the ride being “more fun when you just relax and let it do its thing.” Is she talking about the coaster? The gates open. She doesn’t hesitate, heads right for the front row, one seat left beside her. You take it. The harness locks down. Her thigh presses against yours, warm, unmistakable. Her hand grips the bar, but her pinky brushes yours. Deliberate. The ride surges forward, climbing, climbing. She leans closer, lips near your ear over the clatter of the chain lift: “I always scream on the way down… but not just from fear.” Your heart pounds louder than the ride. Hold on tight. The rollercoaster’s not the only thrill you’re in for.
